What Dr. Ducharme would like you to know about him:
Over the span of 12 years, my professional focus has centered on serving children, adolescents, and young adults within diverse educational, residential, and outpatient mental health settings. I currently offer treatment for Anxiety, Depression, Emotion Regulation & Behavioral Problems, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, and Executive Functioning support. If an issue outside of my scope of practice comes up during intake, I will assist you in finding appropriate referrals!
I completed my doctoral dissertation research in the area of adolescent self-determination and strive to incorporate elements of self-determination into all aspects of my practice. The best therapeutic outcomes are obtained when client and clinician have a thorough understanding of the client’s true goals and work together to promote client independence. Client’s will spend more time with their family and friends than they ever will with a therapist. This reality informs a clinical focus on strengthening client’s independence, interpersonal relationships, and ability to flourish in their current environment.
